The well-being, safety and comfort of our residents and staff is our number one priority. Fellowship Community follows current infection control guidance and trains all staff to ensure these guidelines are followed.
COVID-19 Cases and Our Interventions
If we have active COVID-19 cases, residents, staff, families and visitors will be notified of the cases and our interventions via a one-call telephone update and through postings on our
internal TV. Infection control signs will also be posted at our entrances.
If you would like to review our COVID-19 Response Plan, please contact the Administrator or Vice President of you/your loved one’s community.
CDC Guidance and Visitation
CDC provides the following recommendations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19/Respiratory Illness:
- Stay up to date with vaccination to protect people against serious illness, hospitalization, and death. This includes flu, COVID-19, and RSV if eligible.
- Practice good hygiene by covering coughs and sneezes, washing or sanitizing hands often, and cleaning frequently touched surfaces.
- Take steps for cleaner air, such as bringing in more fresh outside air, purifying indoor air, or gathering outdoors.
If you are sick with a respiratory virus, guidance recommends that you stay home and away from others. If you have COVID-19 or the flu, treatment is available and can lessen symptoms
and lower the risk of severe illness. Recommendations suggest returning to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, symptoms are improving overall, and if a fever was present, it has
been gone without use of a fever-reducing medication. Once you resume normal activities, you should, for the next 5 days, take steps for cleaner air, practice good hygiene, and wear a well-fitting mask, keeping your distance from others. Enhanced precautions are especially important to protect those most at risk for severe illness, including those over 65 and people with weakened immune systems. Fellowship Community asks that you stay home if you are ill and that you follow our masking recommendations at all times.
If you would like to visit with your loved one remotely (Skype), please let our Activities Team know and we will arrange that for you.
